The centre of the village lies roughly halfway along Downs Road, in the vicinity of the Post Office and Stores, the Primary School and St Margaret's Church. Downs Road is also the location of the Village Hall, Social Club and Gratton Surgery, a branch of the main surgery in Sutton Scotney (3 miles away).

St Margaret's Church and Primary School

There has been a church of St. Margaret's in the village since 1909, but having outgrown the original one, they moved into a new church in 1996.

This was built in a partnership with Hampshire Education Authority, so that the facilities could be shared with South Wonston School and used throughout the week. They also have a small chapel.
